What
does this system enable me to do?
Using the City’s online system, you can search for information
regarding licensed businesses within Sunrise. Search criteria may include
a business’ name or business tax receipt number, or a date range you specify.
I
searched “By Business” but did not get the results I was
looking for. Did I do something wrong?
First, check to make sure you spelled the name correctly. Or, if you
entered additional information – such as the business’ address
or phone number – try a more general, name-based search instead.
I
tried a search “By Business Tax Receipt” but could not enter the business’
full business tax receipt number. What happened?
There are two text boxes on the “By Business Tax Receipt” search page
– one is for the first two digits of the business tax receipt number, and the
other is for the remaining digits. Once you’ve typed in the first
two numbers, click in the second box to add the remaining digits. Be
sure you don’t include extra spaces, dashes or any other characters.
Why
won’t the “By Date” search accept the date range I
typed in?
Make sure you enter the “from” and “to” dates
in the requested MMDDYYYY (Month Date Year) format. For example, February
1, 2001, should be typed as 02012001 – without any extra spaces,
dashes or other characters.
What
does a business’ “status” refer to?
The status lets you know if a business/business tax receipt is active (AC), renewed
(RN) or inactive (IN).
